Re: Need Some Info!

There was a member here making them for awhile, his ID is Fuelcellguy,
not sure if he is still making them or not, he's been kinda MIA as of late.

Re: Need Some Info!

I put a 37 gal tank in my K5 from thease guys:
http://www.nwmp.com/

Not too cheep if I remember it was around 400bucks and it hangs lower than a factory tank. I modified mine to mount higher cuz I have a bodylift...

Good luck

JC Whitney also sells those Northwest Metal Products (nwmp) tanks. You can probably find a picture on their web site.

Re: Need Some Info!

What about getting a later model blazer/burb tank from a bone yard?

Might not be 40 gallons but their larger than the one that's in there for sure.

Here is one I found, I made the skid plate for it....

That is the only one I could find...
basically thoes two center straps hold the tank up to the frame. I relocated the tabs that touch the frame to a lower spot on the tank so it mounted higher. The factory rear crossmember was removed too, not a problem for me cuz of the hitch I have on the end of the frame acts like a crossmember/rock skid

I think I read someware about thoes chevy 31 gal tanks working but you have to install it backwards to line up the filler neck ~ going off memory so I could be wrong
