Is anyone running a 8 inch lift?

Is anyone running a 8 in Lift? Also if you are did you have to run a spacer to drop the transfer case down? Also if you did what is the size you did the drop.
I have a friend that has a 6 inch lift and he had to do a 1 3/4 inch drop on the transfer case.

I am running and 8 inch on my 72. I didnt have to lower the transfer case or anything like that. I am using 6 inch springs with a 3 inch block in the rear if that makes any difference.
