Intermediate Shaft Grease

What kind of grease or lubricant would you use on the rubber piece of the intermediate shaft?

Re: Intermediate Shaft Grease

I would vote for wheel bearing grease also, and maybe make it high temp wheel bearing grease. When it gets hot under the hood, I would not want cheap gun grease seperating into oil and leaking all over.

Re: Intermediate Shaft Grease

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you grease it?

Re: Intermediate Shaft Grease

you can remove the clip and slide the boot off to gain access to the internals. just be careful no to extend the plunger too far or the square pieces will fall out. on mine I took the whole thing apart and drilled it for a zerk. keep in mind some grease will migrate down the shaft over time.
