I'm thinking about selling my 52 ProStreet project...

*** SOLD!!!!!! ****** $13,500 o.b.o. *****

For Sale ad: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...ct=1318&cat=10

1952 Chevrolet 3 Window Truck

Body:
All steel NO RUST!!! This truck was purchased at an estate sell and has no rust. I have the original bill of sale. Truck was built in Atlanta and was purchased in Rockford, AL. Nice original rust free cab (cab corners and floors are original, which is virtually unheard of in this year of truck). The entire body (cab/doors/hood/front fenders) was media stripped inside and out and placed in epoxy primer. Complete new steel MAR-K bed with reversed handle tailgate and bearclaw latches. New steel rear fenders, new Rock Valley running boards and roll pan. Custom metal floor and wheel tubs. *****in big block recessed firewall, installed. Nice original front fenders with Hagan recessed tri-bar headlights, (new).

Interior:
2004 Leather Bonneville power seats with integrated seat belts. EZ wire 21 circuit mini fuse wiring harness (new), not installed. Tilt steering with billet column drop. Specialty Power electric windows (new), not installed.

Chassis:
Original chassis, boxed front to rear. Front suspension is a TCI Mustang II with 2 ½ dropped spindles (new), Air Ride Technologies tubular a-arms (new), shockwave Airbags (new), power rack and pinion (new). The truck has been back-halfed with a ladder bar setup (has drive shaft loop), Narrowed 9 inch Ford rear end with 3.73 posi-traction (new) , rear disc brakes (new) , Nodular (N) center section and ART Shockwave Airbags (new). All steering is setup with Borgeson U-joints (new). It has an 8 inch power dual master cylinder that is mounted under floorboard (new).

Engine:
Setup for either BBC/SBC and TH400/4L60E transmission. New TCI transmission cross member.

Misc:
NOS hood emblem, stainless steel glovebox door, stainless steel drop down battery box and more.

This is going to be a great project with most of the hard stuff already done. It just needs to be put back together.

Re: I'm thinking about selling my 52 ProStreet project...

I'd start by totalling all the parts up, plus price of the truck....that would be the lowest i'd sell for, unless i was really strapped for cash.

Then, figure all your hours you have into it, and multiply by 50 cents Just kidding, you should be able to come up with some figure for your labor...which would have to be appealing for someone who's thinking of having the same thing done at a shop.

Since it's all new and never hit the road, and assuming all the work was done correctly, you should at least be able to recoup the money you have into it plus some on top for your time.

Good luck, looks like a heck of a good start for someone.

hmm...i'll give you 10 bucks as it sits...

hmm...seriously...there's an ass for every seat....

you have a lot of the tough stuff done and pretty cleanly at that...

i'd say about 10-15 (with no motor/trans) at least...

Re: I'm thinking about selling my 52 ProStreet project...

Thanks for the replies. I've got almost $15K (counting a nickel an hour for my labor ) If I could sell it for that I probably would. I don't need to sell it, but I realy don't want to move 2 projects.

You could always just finish it up...think how quickly you'd get things moved...

If I wasn't knee deep into my 69 Burb, I would be working on it. But, I need to get the Burb finished by this time next year. You could just buy it and I'll store it for you until you come and get it.

I'll do my best. I've got some of the parts stored at my buddy's shop (front fenders, running boards, rear fenders, wheel tubs). I'll take pics of what I have here at the house and get the rest later.

Re: I'm thinking about selling my 52 ProStreet project...

I am very interested in this 52, I am just not to sure about the prostreet part of it. The Cab and Sheetmetal are exactly what I am looking for, I just dont know that I want a ProStreet Truck. I am leaning more toward a ProTouring PickUp that looks like a typical StreetRod Truck. Let me think about it and I will get back with you on this. Feel free to give me a call if you like tomorrow evening, I will PM my number to you. Thanks for all the great pictures, the Cab and SheetMetal are perfect for what I want to do.

Re: I'm thinking about selling my 52 ProStreet project...

It would be fairly easy to "undo" the pro-street part, although you'll need another 9" housing. I had planned on putting a set of 15 X 20's on the back . Let me know.

You won't find a nicer cab, unless you get one of these and it doesn't come with a title.
