wheel bearing welded to spindle

Looks like I need a new spindle and bearing. The only kits I find are
drop kits. Where can I buy a stock kit for a 72' K5 4X4.

Re: wheel bearing welded to spindle

You'll probably have to goto a junkyard. Nice part is the Spindle should be the same up into the 70's as long as it's off a Dana 44 axle...

Here is a link to axle identification... You will find what you need under 1971 to about 1980 chevrolet 1/2 tons 4X4's... they used either a Dana 44's or a Corporate 10 bolts.. you need one for the Dana... Left or right sides are the same..

Re: wheel bearing welded to spindle

pre '76 dana 44's had what was known as a small bearing spindle . after that dana enlarged the spindle and inner brearing , then in '78 gm 10 bolts carried on with the same spindle bearing setup
