there is a tab at the base of the arm, under the part that goes over the shaft that exits the cowel...I think the tab is on the inside (under the arm) just use a screw driver.

JJk10 is right, gotta get that tab with a screwdriver. Mine were real hard to get off, tried lifting the tab with the srewdriver but it wouldn't budge. When you lift the wiper arm to get to the tab it puts a bind on the shaft ,,,,, try putting a shop rag (or other protection) over where the wiper goes on the shaft. Put some channel locks to it and wiggle it while you're pushing the tab up.

There is a little tool that makes the job MUCH easier. It's made out of flat stock with cut-outs in each end rather like line wrenchs except that they are bent down with the tabs bent yet again (I know, it's a lousy description). You hook the tabs under the arm and squeeze the tool down to the top of the arm, and it will pop right off. Any old filling station (NOT Convenience store) that deals/dealt in wipers will probably have several lying around. I got one by buying a whole Anco cabinet full of new blades and some tools from a guy who got out of the business.

Cool Wipper tool

NAPA sells them, they are $6.00 are less if I remember right.
You put it over the end of the wipper arm and pry up with your hand holding the tool and the wipper blade at the same time.
Hope this helps.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: how to remove wiper arms???

I did this a year ago, I found it a lot easier to pull that pin out altogether, and I really don't think it is needed. Once that tab is out just use muscle power to pull straight up, be patient and you'll get it. I have been using the wipers, minus the tab since and have had no issues.

Re: how to remove wiper arms???

The way I take mine off is to lift the wiper arm off the window and hold it this actualy pulls the little tab out of the way then usually the are stuck so while gentally pulling on the arm I pry with screw driver on the opposite side and walla she's off.
