Will these wheels look right?

I finally found a set of rims I like, but i'm not sure about the backspacing and if they are going to look right.

Here is the info. The wheels are 22x9.5 inches. They have a +25 mm offset. 25 mm is just about 1". So if my math is correct, that means these wheels have a 5.75" backspace. Now I have a 69 c10 that, if I get these particular wheels, I will be converting to 6 lug disk brakes. Remember that the 69 and lower rearend is a little narrower than the late 70 up. So, will these rims sit in the wheelwells correctly? My truck will be bagged so the rims will be tucked. What do you think?

Oh, one more thing. On the wheel spec sheet, there is a spec labeled "ET" and "VS" Does anybody know what these abbreviations mean?

i may be wrong but my understanding is when you change front from drum to disc brakes the wheel will be moved out-board 1 inch. maybe someone else can chime in and verify this.

I think he is right, hence the reason quite a few of us are running spacers out back. I am running 1-1/2 spacers out back.

maybe I am thinking about this backwards, but wouldn't the wheel be moved in-board after a drum to disc conversion which is why you are using a spacer to move it back out?

He is not using the spacer on the front wheel he is using it on the back...I did a 6 lug drum to 5 lug disc conversion about a year ago but dont remember if it moved it outward or not. If it did it wasnt too much. Maybe an inch.

Do you have to order the same BS for front and rear? Some people are using spacers because the wheel size and BS that fits the front isn't wide enough at the rear, aesthetically speaking.

Before you pull the trigger on the wheels I would do some measuring or make a drawing. I installed a shorter rearend in my truck and have measured for the new wheels, but I also did a CAD drawing to see what my wheel dims should be. I don't remember the stock width of the early rearends so I guessed at 64". Some of these dims are from memory so I can't say they are absolutely correct.

The drawing shows the wheel and tire I already had drawn, 20x10 with 295/45s.

thanks for the help man. It's kind of hard to do measuring at this point because the bed needs to be cut to sit over the notch, and I have no brakes on at this point. I think I have found a new wheel though. It's what I originally wanted: clean 5 spoke design in chrome. They are 22x9.5 and I'm going with a 285-35-22. The wheel has a 13mm offset. I think that works out to be a 5.7" BS.

I always try & use a wheel of known size that fits & then caculate my required measurements from there. Wood makes for easy spacers to add width or height where required.

Keep one thing in mind when comparing OFFSET to BACKSPACING...
Offset is the amount that the center is offset to the front or back of the wheel when measured from the CENTER of the rim.

Backspace is measured from the OUTSIDE of the inner edge of the rim to the mounting surface of the wheel. The wheel dimensions (the width) is the distance between the tire bead surface and NOT the OVERALL outside width of the wheel. Typically the thickness of the bead area is about 1/4" for each side, so a 9.5" wide wheel would be about 10" wide on the outside edges.

That would work out to a 6" back space for a 9.5" wide that has a 25mm offset. That is shown in Lolife99's chart.
