Brake Hose Options????

Hey Guys,

I'm sure this has been covered but not able to find anything with the search option. I've been stockpiling parts for the blazer and was going to buy new brake hoses. Problem is that none of the parts houses carry the hose, no number no nothing. Was wondering if the same brake hose from a 67-70 will work on my 72 blazer. These are the hoses that screw straight down into the caliper, no angle on the brass or nothing.

Re: Brake Hose Options????

Well, I doubt the 67-70 drum brake hose will work for a disc brake, but i could be wrong.

Go to the home page of this site, on the left side of the screen, under 'LINKS' you'll see a 'suspension ans brakes' category. Click on it, and it will bring up vendors that sell suspension and brake components. There are a number of vendors that sell brake hoses....

It appears the hose from earlier models is different than 71-72 model years...

Re: Brake Hose Options????

It seems for some reason the part numbers are different from a 72 truck hose to a 72 Blazer hose

Re: Brake Hose Options????

There's a "BANJO" fitting on the disc brake hoses. It is different from the drum brake fitting. The truck and blazer may be different or it may just be that the Blazer used the same hose for 4X4.Or the same parts may use 2 different #'s.It's been known to happen.
