HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
to come off! I finally had to purchase the pin release tool to get the door handle and window crank off... unscrewed the arm rest bolts, the bottom bolts, but it is still attached at the top and I can't see how!! Please help! There is a chrome strip at the top of the panel and I can't figure out HOW to remove it to see how it is securing the upper part of my panel. I stuck my arm up there and it feels like screws sticking out, but how do I get to them? Can anyone help? Thanks! I appreciate your help.

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
Thanks Gross! Do I simply pull straight down? It feels like it is attached. Will the chrome strip stay attached to the door after the panel is off?

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
It is easier if you pull out on the door panel and down. It might be a little snug but will come out.

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
The bracket across the top is a channel that the panel slides into. The screws that hold the bracket in are behind the panel. So you remove the handles, the armrest, and the 4? screws across the bottom. Then the panel pulls down, as described.

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
I have never had one come out without having to cut or break at least one screw off. Sounds like you have an easy one if you got both door handle screws and all the panel screws out. Now just pull down...it is probably wedged and rusted into the chrome channel piece.

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
Is this the same way for removing the vinyl covered ones or is this just for all metal panels?

Just for the metal panel ones, with the vinyl it is ever step except that you dont have to pull out and down.

Re: HELP, I'm still trying to get my door panels
For painting the vinyl panels should I use the black vinyl spray paint or use something else?
