header & motor mount pics

Hopes this helps someone, I used the tubular motor mounts from Brothers & flotech headers for the bbc swap, they fit good, the driver side has about 1/4" clearance on front header tube & the pass side you could throw a full grown house cat thru & not touch a thing.
Flowtech#31530 ceramic coated,$229.99 from Autozone
Mounts,,anchor part#2267 from O'rielly's auto parts $8.00 each
tubular stands from Brothers #I forget?
They do hang down below the frame about an 1.5" though, may have to go to a taller tire on my truck,it's lowered 3&5 with 255/50/17 nitto's.

How hard were the tubular mounts to install?

Re: header & motor mount pics

Didnt have to drill any holes, bolted right in,I shoulda mentioned it's a 72 frame, with 67 sheetmetal, I think the original 67 frames are not carved out at the motor mount area, there straight & will interfere with the stand mounts.
Also learned the hard way, leave all the bolts loose till you get the trans mount pad stabbed in the hole, gives you some wiggle.

Re: header & motor mount pics

I appreciate you sharing this, I bought a set of flowtechs from summit for a 72 big block truck to go in my blazer. Now that you said they hang below the frame 1.5" I think I will need to get some diffrent ones.

Re: header & motor mount pics

I have a 67 doing the BBC swap in. Which holes did you use to mount the towers in? Also what is the white stuff under the upper tower mount?

Thanks

JKade
Heres a pic,It may even hang lower than 1.5",,I always go by the collector height, usually thats the first part to drag the dirt?
Now that i think about it,,thats a 3' collector.
