The only ones I found for a Big Block was the Sanderson headers. For a small block I have heard alot of people using the chevelle shorty's.

The only thing that worries me about the hedmans is the thermal coating. I wonder how well that will hold up compared to ceramic coating?

How did the Patriot Clippster Headers work out??? I have seen the small block clippsters on a 73-87 before. They seemed to fit real good.

I am happy with them. I had to grind a little on the drivers side motor mount and a little on the passenger frame rail but they are heavy made and look great.

Re: Need headers for a bbc that don't hang below the frame!!!!

CLICK HERE to see some headers I installed some time back using Hedman's BBC shorty from a late 60's early 70's Chevelle/Malibu.

As Mentioned above, I also had to slightly trim the top of my passenger side frame rail (about 1/8" to 1/4"). I Just used a grinder.

Though the overall exhaust system does hang below the frame rails, the actual headers/collectors do not. If I didn't have other things in the way, I could have routed the exhaust completely w/ in the rails.

Hope this helps....

I have Doug Thorley Tri Y Headers on my 402 and they fit pretty well with no major issues.
