I don't think that's the original pink color for our trucks. It's way to "hot". Looks like some surface rust is starting so you'd have grounds to re-paint it.

That was a '71 GMC that they sold in pink...and D@MN that one up there is bright. Looks like pepto.
This one is the ice corral pink that was sold...only in 2 tone also.

I own the 71 GMC in the bottom post, Your truck is a chev and chev never came in coral only GMC. On the subject of color has anyone in the USA seen a purle chev that they made in 69 only,there are quite a few of these up here in Canada but I never see pics of them on the net.

I also heard of bright green GMC's, and Purple GMC's, but not Chevies..but who knows?

Any time I mention this truck, I get the "it must be a Mary K truck"....like Mary K dealers would been driving a truck back in '71.
I would leave it alone IMO...maybe give it a fresh coat of wax...but we all know I'll wax anything.

Easy now guys. She came from the factory pink and pink she will stay but thats why I put a 502 in it may be it's pink but it's very fast you should see the look on the faces of a mustang drivers when I blow there doors off. I wooped a mustang SVT last year he nearly died of embarassment imangine an old pink truck beating a new SVT mustang goes to show you, you just never know whats under the hood.

The "coral pink" is cool. The pink on that chevy is awful!

I saw a pink streetrod once. It was about the color of the second truck but had copper plated trim,instesd of chrome and was upholstered in a brown.It was different but really had a cool look.
