'67 Shortbed Stepside Build.
I tried this before but for some reason the pictures were really small. I guess I'll make this my build thread. I just wish I had a digital camera and knew about this board when I started. There's a ton of great information on here and lots of helpful people.

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
you putting on bumpers or roll pans?
I like the rear roll pans and for your body style, the LMC front bumper with the driving lights. Wish they made one for my 71. |

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
I was going to go with the front bumper with fog lights but ended up getting a good deal on all the front chrome. So I've got the stock bumper on I just need to take some updated pictures when I go back to Kansas City.

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
In the next couple of weeks I hope to get the sway bar and all of the front chrome pieces installed and also do some welding on the rear bedsides to clean it up a bit. Then It's time for some paint. I'll keep it updated.

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
That's a good lookin' stepside there. Do you catch any flak from the police for the tag location under the bed?

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
Thanks.
I actually moved the license plate onto a flip down mount on the roll pan. I drove it like that for a while though and they didn't seem to mind. I've been driving it around during different stages of completion so they probably knew what was up. |

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
In the pic of your motor, is it just me or did you clearance the DS motor mount for your headers? It looks like in the pic that half of it is gone, or is it an optical illusion?
Nice truck and I am really diggin' the console.

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
I used to live in Missery, did they change the tag laws? When I lived in St.
Louis YOU HAD TO HAVE A TAG ON THE FRONT & THE BACK, just curious

Re: '67 shortbed stepside.
Thanks. Yes, I had to modify both motor mounts. I cut about 1/2" inch from both and then reinforced the undersides. No problems yet.
