Radio delete plates
Whenever someone posts radio deletes for sale they always seem to get snapped up right away. (Im guilty of purchasing a few myself) Im curious what everyones doing with them. Are you going without radios or are you going to make some sort of secret flip up radio cover? If you have made a radio cover maybe show us how you did it. I know someone on the board did this awhile back but refused to show how or tell us what "secret hinge" he used.

Re: Radio delete plates
I just wasn't interested in putting a radio in the dash,if the GMC eventually gets a system installed,it'll most likely be a hidden reciever with XM.
I installed a delete plate in the 68 C10 lwb I used to have simply because I'd rather have listened to the built 454 (with a 292 cam and noisy P.J. gear drive with dual 40 series flows). |

Re: Radio delete plates
I think there was a few pictures on here, but like you said they did not let the cat out of the bag. Does anybody have a link to that thread.

Re: Radio delete plates
CG - I'm thinking a VERY high quality piano hinge with a captured spring to close it up. Not going to do it but just thinking.

Re: Radio delete plates
I found one under my gas tank, It was a great find. I cut a hole in it that my stereo fits through, it covers the remaining outside edges of the dash indents where the stock stereo knobs were. It was faster than filling the dash indents and it has a nice look.
