MSG for people selling trucks...

KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS! My buddy wants to sell his 86 Scottsdale. He claims he put about 2G (Cdn) into a complete, engine/front end rebuild etc. but has nothing to prove it. If you can show a prospective buyer what has gone into the truck, then it will sell that much quicker and likely for the money your want.

I have all my receipts for parts replacement/work done on my truck. I'm just afraid to add them up, lol.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

yeah, you would think that someone would make it a point to keep evidence of $$ of that amount spent on a vahicle,

some ppl are horrible at keeping paperwork, or just dont care, at the time.

the guy that im getting this 72 C20 from that im parting has the receipts from the previous owner that completely rebuilt the engine in it, 1900 bucks worth. engine rebuilt in 95 and truck has sat unmoved for at least four years, so it hardly has any miieage on it.

good luck

I hear ya Southpa! I have all mine since I started, but I've never found the courage to add them all up. Maybe in another year or two, he-hee!
