Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
i take it you got the full removeable top ? caus otherwise the regular door would work. just cut off the truck door, but then add a plate inside for the support.

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
If you look at the factory door they basically did the same thing.....cut off the top of it. I was planning on doing that on my 74 when it comes time to replace the doors. I do not believe I have ever seen any aftermarket companies advertising these doors so your best bet would be to cut some yourself.

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
I hate to say it, but even LMC doesn't have doors for 73-75 K5's. If LMC don't have it, it's probably not being repoped... So unless you happen to come across an actual NOS door, your stuck getting one from a later Blazer or truck (they are the same) and cutting the frame.
If the door isn't smashed to bad, you might be able to get away with just putting a skin on. Still Cutting full doors down isn't that difficult. Salvage the rubber cap off of the top of the a-pillar, the fiberglass cap for the rear and the tin support under it off of your old doors. You'll need them to put back on the cut doors. Follow the write up on CK5.com for the details of how to cut the doors. My doors aren't caved in, but the bottoms are rusty. I'll probably have to fix the lower sections before long..

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
Even if you order a door from GM it is a truck door with a template to use for the cutting. The doors are the same. just put the little support bracket back inside the door at the rear when you cut the top off of it.

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
Ditto on what everyone else has said. There isn't a door availible that is already cut. You will have to cut it to make it work.

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
When GM offered a replacement door for the 73-75 Blazer, it was a truck door, a template, a filler, and instructions. BTW, if you were going to add power windows, this would be the time to upgrade to the 77-up doors.

Re: 1974 Blazer doors?
I don't mean to bring up such an old post but I have a 1973 K5 that I need to get new doors for. I'll probably grab some 80's model doors with electric windows and what not. I am just curious where I can get the template to cut them. I also want to know where to place that bace on the back of the door. I did a google search and this forum was pretty much the only thing that came up. Is there a how-to somewhere out there that can assist me further. I think the current doors are replaements and they weren't done right. The windows do not roll up if they are left down too long. They come off the track. So I want to make sure I do it right this time. Also, does anyone know a good place to get fiberglass replacement doors? (off topic, I know) Thanks!!
