Hydro clutch kit??

I read in another post about a company named NOVAC that manufactures a hydro clutch kit for a SM465 using the stock bellhousing. I googled it and could not come up with it. Can I get some help here please?

Re: Hydro clutch kit??

Thanks alot, off the top of your head do you know if that will work for the SM 465? It gives a list of bellhousings that work but I don't know if mine is one of them. Also the fork they picture is completely different than the one mine has in it and the kind they picture won't fit, i've tried it.

Re: Hydro clutch kit??

Well, I'm not sure...I'm not that far along on my project. I have the drivetrain all together, so I'm hoping I can buy bolt-on parts to convert!!!!

Re: Hydro clutch kit??

I understand that advance adapters makes a bracket to fit a TJ slave to ( at least I think it's a TJ slave ) but the novak kit seems more complete so it would be worth it...if it works for me. Let me know if you do yours sometime soon with the results.

Re: Hydro clutch kit??

I can't remember why I did not go with the Novak setup...

I used '87 GM master with '80s Toyota LandCruzer slave mounted to AA bracket. AA also sold me the braided line to connect the two togeather.
All the other parts were factory(72), pedal assy. & fork.

Advance Adpter's web site kinda sucks for looking stuff up on line so I would call them. They shiped me the wrong bracket at first but then I got the right one that bolts to the cast bell that came on my SM465.

Re: Hydro clutch kit??

There was a thread on CK5 that told you how to make your own adapter to put a hydraulic slave on a cast iron SM465 bellhousing (I think some guys figured it out after blowing apart the aluminum hydro bell). I'd point you in the right direction but unfortunately my CK5 subscription expired and until I renew it I don't have search.

I probably need to get a membership to these sites, it's worth the price for the information I am always getting. I don't know about that pirate4x4 though. Too many a-holes always knocking everything everyone says. I just want to talk about trucks, they always want to have a pissing contest with one another.
