Northern Tool sale on engine stands
Northern has their $89 - 1500 lb. folding engine stand on sale for $59. Just a heads up.
I bought one (had a $20 Norther Tool gift card) and I'm real impressed with it. First it's 1500 lbs, nice. Second, it FOLDS!!. My garage is only 20x20 so I need all the space savings I can get. It also has the rotation pin attached with a small chain so you can't loose it, and the front caters are locking. It took 15 minutes to assemble. I've owned several engine stand and this is the nicest and at this price, it's not the most expensive. Sold my old stand on craigslist for $25 so it cost me $20 after sales tax.

Re: Northern Tool sale on engine stands
Choose a State
* Florida (7) * Georgia (6) * Iowa (1) * Minnesota (10) * North Carolina (9) * North Dakota (1) * South Carolina (5) * Tennessee (5) * Texas (11) * Virginia (5) * Wisconsin (2) weak. I just bought a $77 #1250 from Advance. It's not supposed to fold, but with the 6.2 diesel on there, I'm pretty sure it's turning into a folding stand! Worst part is, this is the second one I bought (I have a #750 too). This northern one sounds much nicer. Mine looks JUST like their #1250 Here's the one this thread is about http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...3359_200313359 Looks much nicer, but it's not on sale on the web site :'(

Re: Northern Tool sale on engine stands
Yep, that's the one. Doesn't look like the online store is offering the sale. But the store currently is. Sorry to frustrate those who don't have a Northern store in their neck of the woods. We just got ours three months ago. I try to stay out of there! It's dangerous to my credit card balance.

I got one of those around first of December. Went in to get that very stand and was surprised to see it on sale. They only had two left at the location I was at and a Mercedes mechanic walked up and said he wanted one also. So I took the one that was on display (already assembled) and he took the one that was still in the box. It was easier that way as I had the truck with me and the box fit in the trunk of the Benz. I think it is a great value and it is made well.
