Pouring rain and NO wipers
well i was cruising down the road in my 81' in the pouring rain and my wipers quit working out of no where. I pulled over checked the usual stuff fuses, bad connection, everything looked good. needless to say i drove home with my head hanging out the window getting soaked with my wife laughing her a$$ off at me. i work part time at advance auto, so i went to the store and tried a new motor....nothing! we didn't have a switch in stock, so i ordered one. gonna try it tomorrow. anybody got any other thoughts?

Re: Pouring rain and NO wipers
Same reletive thing happened to my truck, a couple weeks ago the wipers stopped working for no apparent, then about a week ago the heater quit working. Changed the thermostat and the heater works again, but sitll no wipers.

Re: Pouring rain and NO wipers
hello,,i would check for voltage at the motor,,if there is correct voltage there then you know it's the motor,if not then start working back, thats the easiest way,,if there is no voltage on the motor then pull the connector off of motor and check for voltage on the wiring harness itself...could be something as easy as a loose connection,,also might be a long shot but have you turned wipers on and actually looked at motor? possibility the arm came loose?

Re: Pouring rain and NO wipers
As has happened to alot of us I'm sure, It has got to be something so simple that we just keep overlooking it. Maybe you need to take your wife out to dinner and park it beside some cute chick car for a couple hours and see if that makes it feel better.
