was wondering if the electronic fuel pump for the 87 efi was in the tank or is it external i have a chance to buy the throttle body and wire harness and distributer for my 84 just wondering if i had to change the sending unit and put a pump in my tank

Yep it's in the tank and if you get that set up you will need to get the fuel lines that run from the tank along the frame up to the rear of the TBI or you wont be able to hook it up.

It's probably not a bad idea to just get the whole fuel tank as well.
