does anybody know

bought a 86 chevy caprice two weeks ago motor was knocking 305, guy wanted to keep the carb (edb 1406) I think, car came with a 700r and was wondering could I use one of those brackets on my truck, if it worked on the car. I have the bracket from summit, but I can't use both holes where it bolts to the carb so it may be moving I have the same carb the guy has

Re: does anybody know

I had a home made bracket on my truck when I bought it and it worked great. The important thing is to get the cable set up correctly, so if your bracket allows you to meet the specifications and it will not move, it should work.
Here is the best site on the web for setting up a TV cable.

Re: does anybody know

the bracket on the caprice it is made like any other bracket with a throttle slot and a 700r slot like the 350 kickdown slot, also has a slot for a cruise control, but don't have cruise. It bolts in the last two holes on the intake
