Casting numbers on heads
I'm tryiing to find the casting numbers on my heads to see what heads i have, does anyone have a pic of where they are? I pulled off the valve cover on the drivers side but cant see any numbers, are they on the pass side and if so where? i'd like to see a pic before i move on to the pass side, my truck is 3 feet in the air right on jack stands installing the new mufflers so its a bit hard to climb in to the engine compartment but wil do again if i have something to go by.
tia

Re: Casting numbers on heads
IIRC the sbc heads can be swapped side to side (which is why the head has holes on it's back side, in case it becomes the front). So the number would be on both heads.
