What did y'all get done this weekend?

I removed the rear spring hangers from my swb 4x4 and watched the colts win the game so they can go to the superbowl

I installed a new fuel pump (2nd one in 6 months), wired a over-ride switch for my compressor, and installed the lights for my air gauges.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Over the last few weekends got the motor started and broke in the cam....Sounds fricken great! Took some video, but haven't figured out how to get it on my computer. I haven't driven this thing for about 8 years and I'm gettin closer. This weekend I cut and rubbed out the cab and set it back on the chassis for the LAST TIME!!!!

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Fixed a flat from picking up a nail, checked the rear brake pads while off so not much on the truck. Got the garage cleaned and organized for preping to seal the floor before I bring home the new toy.

Damn Jim that engine looks great.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I drove all over the place (1600kms in total)in order to get the bed parts I needed and started to cut things up in order to raise the bed floor 2 1/4".
I was very impressed with the front panel and the rear cross sill. They fit right in place,no fuss no muss.

Split about 4 cords of firewood, and cleaned some old roots out of the new dirt supporting my new rock wall.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I went from this:

To this:

To this:

Was most concerned about getting the framerails looking decent. I have new T arms on the way, and will be getting a new parhard bar, bags, c-notch and shocks in soon. Getting it painted was more of a preparation than anything.

oh, and i cut the exhaust off just behind the cab to get it out of the way for future work.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

i forgot the most important thing i accomplished this weekend. I finished wiring all of the lights in the garage. Now i have 7 light sockets, with 2 100 watt bulbs in each of them to help me see the light...

all are on one switch, but have pull chains to turn off unneeded lights.

freakin bright in there with all of them on.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Broke in the new motor, first on the street, then the dyno. Drove about 300 miles on her and decided my exhaust is WAY too loud... (series 30 flowmasters, 3" to week burner exits)

put together the rest of the parts to pull the front end off in two weeks (gotta work a bit!) and powdercoat it, made measurements for the silicone hose set, and spent about 20 hours trying to figure out what wheels I want to end up with...

Still didnt get ANY pics of the truck, and still need a center to center measurement on an OE panhard bar!

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I got my disc brake conversion done this weekend thanks to 70GMCer . I have to double check the clearance of the wheel weights and keeping my fingers crossed that the springs are the correct ride height I want with the drop spindles, then I can test it out Thanks again Steve!

I got my bed sides blasted and new cross supports bolted to the tip and flip dolly so I can put the bed back together to start the body work. Oh and I helped a buddy take his Mustang to get the headliner and package tray installed.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I stopped by the machine shop Friday and picked up some suspension parts but didnt get the chance to put them on. I cleaned up the frame a little more on the '70 and laid some paint on the PS box. My FCG tank should be here today so I can start laying out fuel and brake lines next.
