Shoulder Seat Belts

During the recent icy weather we've had here in KC, some knucklehead going too fast nearly slammed headon into my 1972 Blazer. It got me thinking about installing shoulder belts (at least in the winter when it's icy and the top is on). There are a few threads on the pickup board about using 82-93 S-10 selt belts. Has anyone tried installing those belts in a blazer using the factory anchor in the top?

Re: Shoulder Seat Belts

I've got shoulder belts out of a 97' GMC half ton in my 72 Blazer. Attached to the anchors in the hardtop. At least until I mount my rollbar. So far no issues.

Re: Shoulder Seat Belts

I used some generic 3 point seat belts out of the LMC catalog that I have attached to my roll bar, they work well. I am not sure how you would attach them if you don't have a roll bar especially if you plan on running a soft top or no top.

Re: Shoulder Seat Belts

Dopey, yes those anchors in the top will work and that is what they were
designed for, but if you have the rollbar as others mentioned it would just
kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone to anchor them there, then you're protected topless
