17-Spline
Does anyone have an idea of when 17-spline center sections and axles were made? Will normal 12-bolt components will work with 17-splines?

The 12 bolt has 30 splines......what has 17?

The 12 bolt rearend in my truck. I am still digging up information on what year. I do know the guys that build rear ends know about the 17 spline units. I posted the same question over on the 60-66 board. I hope the reply.
I am going to go down and pull of the axel code and date tomorrow. Some Vette's had 17 spline also according to Eaton.

my eaton h072 has 17 spline shafts, never heard about the 12 bolt with them.
