Re: sound system
With a stock gas tank location, and if you have bucket seats,
consider putting Subwoofer and Amp in the rear half of the center console, the mids in the kick panels, and the tweeters in the A-pillar somewhere. If you still have the bench seat, will the Sub(s) and Amp fit under your seat?

Re: sound system
Several major subwoofer manufacturers (sp?) sell special sub set ups to fit under the seat. Ill go look for my truckin' mag thats got the article on it.
edit: JL Audio Q-Logic MTX Search thier sites for one, Im sure they would have them for the truck. Last edited by texanidiot25; 01-23-2007 at 09:16 PM. |

Re: sound system
You can fit speakers in the door panels (not cutting the actual door), you can do a speaker pod in the kick panel and you can get a lot of good sound using a small amp and some quality 6.5" and smaller speakers.
I am putting a 6.5" toward the back of the door, a 4" or maybe 5.25 near the front of the door, and a 6.5 in the kick panel. I am also putting a pair of 4x6 plates (3" with 1" tweet) in the center of the dash. I may do some pods in the headliner if I ever get around to building a custom headliner. I have big plans for the back when I get the tank out if there. A pair of Kicker L7 10's. |
