Leaf and Coil springs
I have coil springs on my truck right now(71 shortbox frame), but I have a leaf springs posi rearend I want to put in it. Can I change my coil springs setup out for a leaf spring setup? thanks

Anything's possible with a grinder, torch, and a welder, but why do you want too ?
IMHO, changing the mounting pads on the axle, keeping the coils, would seem to be an easier way to go.

I feel the leaf is beter for towing but that is about it. If you already are set up for coil you can buy new pads for your axel and weld them on and keep the coil set up. You will also need a track bar relocator kit but all that is still alot easier than trying to put leaf in a coil truck IMHO.

I'd stay with the coils i love mine when i pull a tailer i don't even know tis back there till i hit a hill and it rides like a dream
