What did y'all get done this weekend?

Its that time of week again
I finished up the welding of new pieces of steel in my swb 4x4 frame and started the re-assembly of the rear axle.

I scored a NP205, adapter & shifter that came off a TH400! We all know how hard those are to find. It was in the newspaper classifieds. I don't really have a need for it now, but it won't hurt to have laying around.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Shane its nice and warm down here. After finishing the garage floor earlier this week. I had the new jimmy delivered Sat morning. Today I started going through it ran the numbers and found it is a numbers matching 307 block, 350trans and rear with 3:07 gears. The rear got a new gasket and 2qts of 90W. I pulled the valve covers to adjust the lash and run the head numbers. Unfornutaly the heads don't match the engine or each other one is a 60cc and the other is a 76cc. I wonder if that had anything to do with lifter knock it heard? Looks like its time to save up for a mild cam set of aluminum vortechs, intake and carb.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

We were out of school Friday because of the flu so I got an early start. I got the firewall and some other patch panels cut out of the 72 cab that's junk, cut up the frame saving the overloads and bed mounts, loaded up the first of several loads of the 35 year accumalation of tires (don't ask) and hauled them off. Saturday worked at Church most of the day and cut some firewood that afternoon. We are out again tomorrow and hopefully will get a little more done.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Got all of the old wood removed from my son's '67. He's redoing the bed wood for his senior project. Hey Redhead, I've found a large piece of thick cardboard works great on gravel for working under the truck. Of course we own a recycling yard so, I have access to lots of cardboard.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Last week we took in a new foster son and this weekend I hemmed (sp) his pants. (He's a little rounder than he is tall ) That and a lot of babysitting. I never even made it into the garage.

I did look up online and find out that almost everything for a 6.2 diesel is special order :@

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Finished putting the power brake setup on my truck, almost finished taking the 69 front clip off, in favor of the brand new 68 front clip, finally got my motor back together and signed the lease on a shop 2x as big as mine is currently.

2x the size of the shop means I can fit 2x the amount of 67-72's in it. So now I need to go buy another one.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Nothing...cannot warm up my garage. I did peruse my new assembly manual.

Seems like most of it does not even apply to my '72...but still fun to look at.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Assembled (2) Sauder brand KD bookcases. What a PITA. "Some" assembly required. HA...gimme a break. They took forever to put all those pieces together. Could have been worse though. At least I had all the pieces/parts, and the weather was kinda nice this weekend.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Fixed an electrical problem. Took the hood off and am getting ready to pull the engine. Need to replace a rear main seal. Can't do it in the pickup with a 7qt. after market oil pan.

I had to guide all weekend, day and night. Made lots of money for my truck addiction!! This was our biggest walleye of the weekend. I know this shot is not truck related, but the money I made is. JOHN

Installed the crossmembers in the frame, ECE stainless tank, and hidden hitch. Working with all freshly powdercoated pieces is money well spent.
