Rollpan Tailgate hinges??

I have a 79 Blazer and am looking into a rollpan for it. My question is how can I hide the hinges?

Re: Rollpan Tailgate hinges??

The only way that I know is to to custom make them. It would not be that bad to do. You would have to cut into your roll pan some to do it..

Hope that help..

Yeah I agree, the only way its going to work is if you custom make the hinges. Probably have to cut the roll pan up a little too.

I agree also. I have seen some with the hinges out side the pan. It looks awful. I kind of like the looks of a bumper.

Re: Rollpan Tailgate hinges??

Are you running a top? Remember a Pickup gate bolts in on the K5 tub. By using the pickup gate you elminate the K5 gate hinges and all. (all the holes are there to bolt up the pickup hardware)

If you still are running a top, you might be able to adapt the pickup style hinge to the K5 gate. Remember the K5 gate uses the torsion springs to aid in lifting/lowering. Eliminating them might require more work.

Re: Rollpan Tailgate hinges??

I thaught of that cause the holes are already there.. I was also looking at my s-10 blazer and I think I can make something similar to the hinges it has as well.
