Is this anything unique or especially valuable? The cab has light surface rust on the rockers and is rock solid. The doghouse is perfect. The bed is trashed and the 292 needs some work is this thing worth restoring or would I be better parting it.

I think any tear 67-72 camper special is pretty rare. I think that a bed would be easy to come by in your neck of the woods (no rust down there. What kind of options does the truck have on it?

I was told its got a detroit locker rear. Its got a 292 three speed manual on the column no outside trim its marked c20 cab. The paint on the cab and bed is original its light beige. Its had late model seatbelts installed and the interior trim is sparse. No tach. The guy I bought it from had his kid replace the started and he faild to run down all the bolts then burned up the ignition trying to get it to start. It had three bent push rods that have been replaced. At this point I am going to re-wire the ignition and try to get it to crank. If I start to chase the monkey on mechanical defects I'll either part it or sell it out right.

Bent push rods sounds like the timing chain might have slipped. Better check crank and valve timing.
