Some 'junkyard' pics for ya

Heres a bunch of pics I took from one of my dads friends place. Its the same story though, almost none of it is for sale, because itll all get fixed up some day..... Anyway, here it is. And, I was looking at this Ford panel, its one thing that he might let go and I was kind of interested in it if anyone knows anything about it.
BTW, the panel and most every other car are stacked full with parts.

heres the ford panel

I wouldn't mind that 2 tone 56 Bel Air four door hardtop that shows in the first couple of pics, that came from the factory with a V8.

I agree with you but have to go back between '47 & '48. In '49 they changed the body style to that in pic # 13. I would sure like to have the truck in pic # 12.

Re: Some 'junkyard' pics for ya

The Ford panel is around a '46 to '48. That would make a nice rat rod garage parts hauler.

Thanks! Thats exactly what Im thinking, a low budget build. Already have a motor/tranny. Just need to make a frame, possibly hack up a 2wd Bronco II or something. Im thinking red with a cream grille and whitewalls..., or just leave the finish like it is if its good enough.

Re: Some 'junkyard' pics for ya

I used to live in the panhandle and requently made trips to west TX and this is a fairly common site. Almost all private land and has been in the hands of the family for generations. I would love to have that old chevy truck #12, as I see many others would. I would clean up the drivetrain (read:safety) and leave the exterior the way it is! Those are some sweet "ratrods" in the waiting!!
