of what i remember in my moog spring books , theres a standard 1/2 set , and a heavy 1/2 set( air -bigblock )that was the same part as a stardard 3/4 , plus maybe a 3/4 hd ( air bigblock - 1 ton . a total three diff spring sets for the front , yet they will all interchange

Yeah, you can put 3/4ton springs on a half ton. I did it on my 67 way back when. It made it ride cinda rough, but it helped the sag from the old worn out ones.

yes the HD coils or 1 ton coils will do the trick. I ran them on my 82 c10 and could fit 31s ith no rubbing and 32s with slight rub...

Re: anyone put 3/4 ton coil on 1/2 ton?
I added 3/4 ton springs to the rear of a 71 swb with a 402 and the 1/2 ton shocks couldn't handle the rebound rates of the new springs so the ride was terrible.
Installed some 3/4 ton shocks and it rode sweet after that. So put the new shocks in while your doing the swap to save the time later. |

There should be zero issues with the ball joints. If I remember correctly the length of the coils are the same. The heavier duty coils run a larger diameter wire spring, thus changing the rate

changing the rate mean no sag thus lifting the front once the truck is sat back down on the ground?
