Talking F/S turbo 400 used

I have a 400 turbo that came out of a parts truck, that looks as if it was rebuilt before I got it. I haven't tested it as the truck had a small engine fire, but I can say the torque converter still has the zinc coating on it, so I know the tranny didn't get hot and the truck was a daily driver up until the fire. The tranny will come with a chrome inspection cover, and a chrome pan,(all driver quality) tail housing, yoke, and the dipstick are included imo you could put fluid in it and go, I am asking $200. Here is a pic of the truck it came out of, and also a pic of it when we pulled ot out of the truck. That is my step brother on the left and my stepdad on the right, the fire was not too bad, just hot enough to burn the wiring harness and paint.
I can get pics if desired later today, since the pics I have cleaned it up a little and shot it with some black high temp paint. It does have some melted pieces of plastic on it from the dizzy melting but not much.
Local pick up only, I will not ship this, sorry
Please reply here only NO PM's to keep it all out in the open.

Randy

166 miles 2:45 to louisville from nashville by mapquest but I live on the south side of the city.
134 miles 2:11 to elizabethtown from nashville by mapquest. I could meet you there and knock off about 1 hour off your travel time.

Put me in line behind Meathead95. I'm tied up tomorrow (wed) but should be able to come up Thur. or Fri. at your convenience. Will be coming up on I-65 from south. Will need directions to where you are.

I am about 70-90 miles from Lex, or about 1 1/2 hrs.
It is pretty clean and have plastic we could wrap it up in.

I am located pretty much where I-65 and the Gene Snyder freeway
intersect. So if you live in Nashville wouldn't you be drinving thru Lou
on your way to lex and again going home or are you taking a diff route?

Ron, will do the directions are very easy, just go to where I-65 and the Gene snyder intersect and I am about 2 miles from there. If meathead passes I will PM you my # and you can just call me when you get to Brooks, Ky( about 15 imins from me) and I will guide you in from there.Either day is good for me.

Re: F/S turbo 400 used

I said I would meet in e-town when the price was $200, I won't take $50 less and drive 80 miles roundtrip. If you want it for $150 you'll have to come and get it, sorry. Not trying to be shady, I just can't justify 2 hrs of my time and driving the 80 miles, for $150 when there is somebody willing to come and get it for the $150 and I do no driving.

Re: F/S turbo 400 used

Snippy, no, blunt and to the point yes.Your right you never said anything about $150, nor did you EVER state you wanted the tranny for $200 either.
Go back and read the posts all you did was ask questions. So how was I not to assume you wanted it delivered for $150? I do not feel what I said was out of line.

Re: F/S turbo 400 used

Took a little ride in Kentucky today and dropped in on board member Byrd today. Got to meet his mother and stepfather while waiting for him to arrive. I got an early start and showed up 2 hours early so my bad. But we put that time and more too to good use talking about trucks and looking over a great work shop and a truck project called "Frank". Going to be a real nice truck. All to soon it was time to load up the transmission and parts that I went after and head for home. Randy is a fine young man and a real asset to the board. So even with 532 miles of driving it was a great day and I made it back home in time for supper. Thanks for a good deal on the transmission and I will be calling when I need a gauge panel for my 72 Chevy truck.
