Re: Gettin CONFUSED!

Still not clearing up the diff between the two brackets?? As with the booster they had the option of a Delco Moraine or a Bendix, the Delco being the single diaphram or the Bendix being a dual diaphram.

Re: Gettin CONFUSED!

tons of posts on this topic...search and ye shall find. From what I understand is a 1/2 ton MC goes with a 1.2 ton booster, and 3/4 ton MC goes with a 3/4 ton booster. Not sure on the brackets but those two are for sure. Now if I remember the two MC's are different front goes to back brakes and back to front on one and opposite on other. All this comes into play when you plumb it. I plan on researching it again prior to my install

Re: Gettin CONFUSED!

if your going to disk brakes you will need the matching master cyl for the booster your using. designed for disc brakes and provalve.

if using a 3/4 ton booster on a 1/2 ton the lines need reversed.
front to back...back to front

after that your on your own..hope this helped your pal mark

Re: Gettin CONFUSED!

Just got off the phone with Classic Performance Parts and they told me to get a 1971-72 3/4t disc brake master cylinder and their proportioning valve and use my 69 3/4t booster and I'll be set for disc brakes. They also said to run the lines front res to front on valve and rear res to rear of valve. NOW I AM REALLY CONFUSED!!

Re: Gettin CONFUSED!

Here we go again! I just came back from the auto parts store to get a m/c.I looked up a 1971-72 c20 with disc brakes to go with my 1969 booster and brackets-NOT GOING TO WORK! the m/c has a shallow piston and the booster to m/c rod is long. What am I doing wrong here? This is what I have: 1969 C20 2wd booster and brackets(dual diaphram) and want to add disc brakes using these parts to my 1969 C10 2wd with manual drums. Please tell me what I am dooing wrong!?Thank You in advance
