I made my truck 69 c-10 1/2 ton, to a 3/4 ton 4x4 by using a 79 frame. It can be done but it is alot of work. I have a long fleet side, the 79 was a little longer about 10 inches to long if you have the small trans hump you will have problems clearing the trans on doner truck. you will also have to make your own frame mounts for the front of thr truck, core support,& lift for the bed, as for the cab, You will have to take the cab mounts of the doner truck off & replace with your 67-72 mounts. this is getting a little long so like I said it takes alot of work & will not be done in a weekend!

can be done, but wheelbase is longer in 73-up, went to 131.5" compared to 127" in 67-72, body to frame mounting brackets are all different and the middle and rear frame channels are wider in 73-up, if you compare them side by side you will see
