1969 c-20 front disc brakes

I have a 69 c-20 with front drum brakes. I would like to convert to front disk from junkyard parts. What year trucks would work with out modification? Thank You.

IMHO this http://www.p-s-t.com/truck/tvfdbk3.html would be your best bet. No junkyard parts to deal with and they have a 6-lug kit.
Just noticed that link is for 1/2 ton. If you can find a 71-72 C-20 that would be easy, without much modification.

Re: 1969 c-20 front disc brakes

the only reason to swap crossmembers is so that you can drop the oil pan easier. Otherwise swapping crossmembers is a pain.
The later model 3/4 suspensions from 71-up to I think 87 or so , depending on it being a burb or a 1 ton will bolt on.
Unbolt the control arms from the later model and bolt them on to yours.
Using 73-up parts is better because of the ride, rubber bushings, plus the parts are cheaper. You will have to change out your M/C and proportioning valve because of the discs.

73-87 truck, 73-91 suburban. Not sure on blazer, need to look at body style. Check out this thread.
