th350 to sm465

heres the deal. i have 77 i'm restoring with a 250 and a sm465. and i my 69 with a 355 and a th350. i want to put the th350 in the 77 and put the 465 in the 69. how hard is this gonna be. will the drives shafts just switch from truck to truck and will the clutch pedal assembly from the 77 fit into the 69. and any other tips you may have would be greatly appreciated.

long, short beds??? but i think its safe to ASSume that if one is a i6 and the other a v8 that the driveline will be different and im not sure if they will bolt up in another chassis, plus being different trannys i dont think one will fit the other either

Re: th350 to sm465

there both longbeds and i know the belhousings are all the same. my biggest concern is if the clutch pedal assembly will fit into my 69 or will i have to get one out of a 67-72 era truck.

well the bell houseing isnt the only thing you have to look at you have to look at the overall length of the tranny and the tailshaft to determine whether the shaft will fit or not and one good way is to just measure it, and with the clutch im sure youll have to do some custom work but you can make it fit either way, or if you can find one from this era truck id go for it and itll look that much better im sure
