Need help!!

I am going to look at a 71 Long bed P/U this weekend. It is bone stock w/ 307 and 3 on the tree.Pretty clean from pics. Guy said it has some rust in rockers and bed floor but that's it???I could use some help on what problem areas I should be looking for on this truck. I am very familiar with the 73-87's but not the 67-72's. Any suggestions? Thanks in adavance for any advice given!!

Re: Need help!!

Along with the rockers, check cab corners, front/rear cab supports, around the windshield, the ridge underhood where the wiring harness runs, look in the cowl, check the floor and kick panels. Hopefully it's nice enough to buy!

Re: Need help!!

Cab corners, cab supports, rocker panels. Those are usually "problem" areas for these trucks. I'm sure others will chime in with additional info.

I was too slow.

Re: Need help!!

Don't be afraid to climb completely under the truck to get a good look at the floor panels, and cab supports.
