Need horn help please.....

I recently got a new factory steering wheel for my '72 and I'm having issues getting the horn to work properly. The horn came with a new cap, receiving cup, and "belleville" spring. Anytime I tighten the screws for the receiving cup the horn starts going off. Am I missing any pieces or doing something wrong? I can loosen the screws to make the spring stop making contact to make it stop. Everything worked fine with my old wheel. Does anyone have any pics? I have everything in the right order, I think. spring washer, receiving cup, and plastic bushings. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need horn help please.....

Here is the diagram from LMC's website. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/0119.asp
I used it when I had to put mine together. Do you have the spring, contact pin and retainer installed correctly? When I fixed my horn I ordered the parts from LMC but had modify them slightly to get them to work. Hope this diagram helps and BTW I really like your truck.

Thanks dave, I didn't even think to look in LMC. They make decent assembly manuals! BTW, I really like YOUR truck.
