Looking for a Motivation From Charlotte, NC
Are there any members from Charlotte, NC or somewhere near by?
I am restoring my 68 longstep and almost getting overwhelmed with all the work so I was wondering if someone was nearby maybe I could look at your ride and somehow get inspired to keep going. Or just maybe hang out or give each other ideas or something. |

By the looks of your truck, I guess I'd need the get inspiration from you! I have just moved to Graham (Burlington) - so I'm about 2 hours or so to your east... If you know you are going to be out this way, send me a pm. Here's a couple pics of mine (before I moved away, and still had a shop)...

I'm not close to you, but if it makes you feel any better I've always wanted an orange 68 longstep. My grandfather had a white 3/4 ton one on his farm. He would take us around on what we called "bump, bump rides" because of the terrain. Looks good. Keep up the good work.

I live in Albemarle, about 50 minutes away. Like the first guy that replied, you inspire me. I just bought a 68 C20 LWB and am currently taking it apart to do a frame up restoration.

Re: Looking for a Motivation From Charlotte, NC
Hi am am pretty close over in indian trail near I485 but my truck is no longer much to look at since it was a long bed fleet side then the frame was severly damaged so now I am redoing it all on a swb gmc frame that was a good truck just bad rockers cab corners and a hole someone made for a floor shift conversion.
