N.D. folks..is there a classic auto wrecker in Minot?
Hey everyone. A co-worker told me today he heard of a large classic auto wrecker supposedly located in Minot, which is an easy days drive for me. Any truth to this? Also, does N.D. use road salt? Thanks.

Don't know about the junk yard.
It's been many years since i lived in ND, but unless they have changed things, NO they don't use salt. I worked for the highway dept when i was in High School, and they layed down lots and lots of sand.

Yeah they are pretty good guys to work with I traded them a malibu shell for a hood, and a bumper. They have some small parts but only one or two complete pickups. They mostly just keep cabs and front clips.
Here is their link http://www.nodakklassics.com/ Another place you should check out is weeklys auto wrecking in Grand Forks ND They have 20-25 67-72 Blazers, subs, and pickups in various states of destruction. 1-701-772-2112 If you are looking for something specific I can check at weeklys next week.

I know someone who's big into classic cars in Minot. Give me a day or two to get his e-mail address and I'll get a hold of him.
They use some salt around here when it's not so cold out (Above 20 F) Tom

If they're talking about classics...I bet they're talking about Dick and Mike's Hot Rod Garage. It's west of Minot a couple of miles towards Burlington. They have a TON of old stuff...but be prepared to bring your checkbook.
http://www.hotrodgarage.net/ HeavyD, have you ever been to the wrecking yard in Radville, Sask? They used to have a bit of older truck stuff there. We got parts there occasionally when I lived in Montana.

Unfortunately, yes. North Dakota spends $750,000 per year on rock salt per State transportation director Francis Ziegler (http://www.jamestownsun.com/articles...9§ion=news)
