Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

I've got a set of truck buddy buckets for sale. It has a cup holder underneath the fold down seat. Not sure where to start with price but, I'll try $400. If this is not close let, please let me know. I prefer not to ship due to cost.

Rob: Has the center seat been modified somehow with that cupholder. Can't tell from the pics.

I don't think it has been modified, but to be honest I don't know.

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

If I'm looking at it correctly, it looks like the front of the "box" that the middle seat sits on has been cut out. The box that the middle seat sits on should be a complete square box, metal on all four sides.

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

if it has been cut, the box from a dodge seat will interchange and is easier to come by.

Some one with more knowledge on these will have to answer that, as I'm not sure.

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

Rob, have you determined if this is actually a pickup seat or a burb seat? From what I remember, there is a difference(I believe with the console) between the two & the burb seat is quite rare. Bein' a crew cab, wondered if they used a burb seat in it...

How do you tell the difference?

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

Burb seats don't have a back on the center jumpseat. That's definitely a truck seat.

I'm interested, but the center console looks to have been modified. The Dodge consoles do work, but I haven't found them to be any easier to find than the Chevy/GMC consoles.

I'll p.m. you.

Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like the only thing modified is the front on the metal box. I'm sure I can fix that pretty easily since it's a flat piece of metal.

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

I started looking at the seats and both of the buckets fold forward. So does that mean truck or suburban??

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

Rob, just a couple of points. It looks like several inches have been cut off the front of the box. I mesured one of my sets and they are approximately 17 inches from front to back on the box.

The other point is about the seats folding. I personally have not seen that before. I have seen about 15 sets of seats with no folding ones. The Suburban center seat has different hinges to provide a positive stop as there is not a gas tank/cab wall to support and stop the back. I wonder(??) if this set is from a Panel truck? The seats might fold to provide access to the cargo area. Maybe a Panel truck owner(hint, hint) could answer this.

Thanks for the info Bob. You wouldn't happen to have a extra box would you? I'm sure I can fix this one, but an original one would be nice.

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

I have a 68 set that seems to fold forward. These seats actually bolted together (backs & bottoms) and can be forced forward, but I don't think they were made to pivot/fold, as such. Tighten the bolts and they don't fold any more.

I actually like the fold part. I think I may use them in my suburban, it will allow easier access to the back on the drivers side. Where do I get the foam to redo them??

Re: Truck Buddy Buckets F/S

Rob - I do not have a spare box. Several vendors have the foam. Pickmup has the foan and custom covers. Don't quote me on the custom covers but I know he has the foam and regular covers.

Here are some pics of the swivel point. Note the bolts that look like they can be used to adjust the seat back. Do all of the buddy bucket have these?
