'72 3/4 ton chassis question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is the steering box on the 3/4 ton the same as 1/2 ton??
I found one to buy, rolling chassis, disk brakes and diff, 8 lug for $300.00 , just missing gear box, sound like a good deal??

the gear box is the same, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and one ton... as long as it is 2 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive, or 4X4 to 4X4.
