True or False!
Could someone tell me if the stepsides are narrower than the fleetsides? I am under the impression that they are by an 1 1/2. This is going to mess with my wheel's & tire's. I would like to have my truck set up so I can run a stepside one year, and a fleet the next kinda switch back and forth.

Re: True or False!
outside dimensions are the same on those beds over the rear wheels. Switching back and forth shouldn't be an issue

Re: True or False!
If you are talking about the rearend track width, they are the same fleet or step, but the early rearends(67 to mid 70) is a inch and a half narrower than mid 70 to 72 rearends.

Re: True or False!
I have heard that they make aftermarket stepside fenders an 1 1/2 wider than stock. I was looking at the width from stepside fender lip to fender lip. I hope this makes since. It's kinda hard to explain. And on the fleet side lip to lip. oldno7

Re: True or False!
That`s what Joe was saying. Both beds are virtually the same in that dimension. You can do what you were wanting to do.
