Help with shifter linkage

I have the engine and trans out and I noticed that the shifter on the powerglide is diffrent then the shifter for the 700r4. How can I hook up my column shifter to my 700r4? I want to install everything back in this comming Thursday.

Link dosent work. I down loaded 3 diffrent web pages about the tv adjustments and bought the TCI lock up kit. I'm heading down to the junk yard to look around to see if there is something there that I can just bolt on.

What I did was go to the search button towards the top right of the main page and type in - 700r4 swap - then tick the circle that says "Search Posts", click on GO. The copy and paste method I used probably doesn't work because the posts change daily.....

Hi this is my first post ever to a forum so please forgive any thing that is out of wack. I am currently swaping in a 400sbc and a 700r4 in my 70. I work at Honest Charley speed shop where we are a TCI dealer. I've spoken with TCI about what they have to offer on this issue. Of course you already have the lockup wiring kit, you will also need the TV cable (throttle valve) which I believe acts as a kit down cable also. If you run a Holley carb you will also need a geometery corrector bracket. These parts are not expensive and a readily available. As to the issue of the shift linkage, well I am still working on that one. I will have an answer this week however so check back. I'll try to post more by tuesday. BD

I pulled all the parts off of a 80's model Chevy truck including the bracket for the frame. I'm going to take pictures of what I have before I take it off and what I end up with after I'm done. Hopefully if everything goes right it would be posted on here by the end of next weekend and I will be driving it.
