f/s auxilary sadle tanks

I have auxilary saddle tanks for both sides off of my 71
they are in good shape still had gas in them, so no rust visible.

I am bagging my truck and this is needed space.
the valve to switch tanks is not with them.
I don't know if they are worth anything or not.
I would start at $100 but would not turn down an reasonable offer.
for pick up only as they are pretty heavy.
I am in the Portland area and could meet somewherre if needed.

Re: f/s auxilary sadle tanks

Got any ideas of how much they each weigh?

Re: f/s auxilary sadle tanks

they are probably a good 45-50 pounds a piece
shipping would be more than they are worth, and I would think there would be as problem shipping them as they smell like gasoline.

Re: f/s auxilary sadle tanks

these are way to big for cary on. they are about 17 gallon tanks.
they are roughly 3-1/2'x 2'x18"
and again theyb still are wet from gasoline so I don't think they would even let them near a plane.

Re: f/s auxilary sadle tanks

Are these factory saddle tanks or aftermarket? A pic would be helpful.

Thanks,

Re: f/s auxilary sadle tanks

they are the aftermarket tanks everyone talks about. You need the aluminium doors on the bed side for them.
