Pictures of my "new" truck

New guy here!!!

I found this site and just wished I found it 7 years ago when my 4x4 was on the road. Tons of good info here.

I am just getting out of active duty in the service after 6 years, and will be moving back to MN. YEA!! More time to work on my toys.

Well I traded my 73 Nova for it, this and the Nova both needed work, so I think it evened out. Plus I love these trucks. This is a 71 and I also have a 1969 4x4. Sometime in the near future I hope to have the 4x4 under this nicer body and all finished up as one truck. But until then, this makes a nice daily driver.

Here is my 4x4, it has been in storage for about 7 years now. Can't wait to get back to her.

Well thanks in advance for all the help I will be finding on this site, can't wait to get started!!!

Brandon

Re: Pictures of my "new" truck

Well the stocking part is in the truck. There is rust in the floor and rockers, but nothing as bad as my 4x. I could've crawled through the floor in that thing, no need for the doors.
I plan on taking some time with it. The nice body should be sitting on the 4x4 frame. And my friend back home who has a 1970 c10 has his eye on the disc and 5 lug parts.
So it worked out for the both of us. I do miss my Nova though.

Anyways thanks for the welcomes!!

Brandon

Re: Pictures of my "new" truck

welcome to the board, I too am pretty new, and I will say one thing, I thought about selling my truck, but after researching this sight and getting the bug to do this and do that, I have had second thoughts of selling , as a matter of fact I am looking to pick up another truck for a complete redo. amazing how this sight gets in your blood.

Re: Pictures of my "new" truck

too much-- I grew up in Rochester, so I will probably stay around there somewhere. Wife is really family oriented and we both have missed out on quite a bit in 6 years. That is the biggest reason for getting out of the service. I loved every other part of it, well the long hours do get old, but the good with the bad.
That and I can't wait for more free time to work on the trucks!!!
