man i hate inspections

last friday it was time to get plates n my truck again,,i went to the parts store and bought a new left front bulb socket for it..i have had either turn signals, or park lights for 5 yrs now..not both..got everything working..the idiot kid they sent out to inspect my truck might have been 20,,and dumb,,he pops the hood,,checks the brake fluid,,not sure why never happened before this..looks around somemore..checks the brakes,,says he has to pull the front wheel to look at the brakes because he cant see them..i told him to bend alittle more they are there..never looked at rear brakes...went in then came out aand told me to come sign the papers..it had a big failed on the paper..i asked what in the hell for, ow he never even checked the lights..this rocket scientist told me it flunk for not haveing a cap on the power steering pump, and no fluid in the pump..i went off..stupid caps cost 8.00, already bought one when i got the truck,,took it back off pump squeeled like a stuck hog...iwent up and got a cap,,8.00,, went back poped the hood and he asked if i put fluid in it,,i told him hell no..so he put some penziol fluid in it..then went in got new paper said it had passed..i asked him if we good,, he said yes..so i poped the hood in front of him,,took the cap off,,told him he was a dumb azz,,that since he had put the fluild in it,,it would be on the ground in just a couple of mins..then i told him if he looked closer the darned power steering belt wasnt even on the truck...

the pump went out about 6 months ago,,when the water pumped locked up on me,,it ate the belt..this last weekend i put a new power steering pump in it..i was more mad because he never even checked the darned lights..
i gto a friend that does inspections,,and asked the tag office,,they all said it should never have flunked for the power steering cap,,should have just been advised i needed to fix it...never going back there again..stupid jiffy lube...
