Re: Got some "Bling" for the Short fleetside K10

Had BFG 35's Mud Terrains on our H2 Hummer. Nice aggressive looking tires BUT, not for highway use. After running them at 70-75 mph on highway they were never the same. Shook the truck at 60 and loped at 40. Couldn't balance them. Replaced with Nittos and now no problems.

Re: Got some "Bling" for the Short fleetside K10

nice rims, look very similar to my MT Classic II's

You guys running big tires should try one of those bag products that they put in your tire. One is called "equal" and my local tire shop said it's the "new thing" but they have been doing it to big rigs for decades. It's actually cheaper than balancing with weights too, since all they do it put a $5 bag of special material into the tire while its being mounted. As you drive the centrifugal force balances the tires....

Here is Equal http://www.imiproducts.com/equal/tire-balancing.aspx

some nice wheels you got there, and one trick for balancing that alot of 4wheel guys do is put bbs in the tires the same bbs as in a bb gun and the force puts them to the right spot and balances the tires while youre driving

Re: Got some "Bling" for the Short fleetside K10

I got set just like that with some 295/50's alll the way around my truck. The only thing you need to make sure of is that your studs are long enough for your lug nuts to make up enough. I had to change my studs and put longer ones so you may need to look at that...just something i had run into...
