Big Block engine mounting
Can anyone tell me the difference between the 68-71 VS the 72 big block mount towers? I have a pair of big block mount towers I purchased from the local Chevy dealer new in box. I just dropped the eng and Trans in (468cid and a 700r4) the engine is sitting at an extreme angle. So bad the tail housing of the Trans is hitting the cross member where the speed-O cable goes in at. I purchased the engine mounts and the transmission cross member from early classic enterprise. I called them ,and they said they have never heard of such a problem. Do I have the wrong towers or what. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Big Block engine mounting
Thank you, I clearly see the difference. I have the ones from pic 1. Is there any reason why the engine is sitting at such a unusual angle? Did I miss some thing simple?
